Description
A collection of Victorian-era mixed metal buttons featuring various sizes and decorative cast-relief designs. These items are buttons constructed from brass, copper, and silver-tone alloys, with some examples incorporating openwork details and enamel accents. The decorative motifs are diverse, depicting cherubs, floral patterns, animals, a windmill, and classical helmeted profiles. Notable examples include a button with the Latin inscription PAX-PANIS within a triangle and a large circular button depicting a scene with figures and an umbrella, accompanied by a handwritten label for actress Fanny Davenport.
Display board: 10 inches high Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
