Estate Sale Gun Collections

Let’s face it. Firearms are everywhere. In fact, there were 393 million of them in the U.S. as of 2022. That means that, when someone passes away in the United States, there’s a good chance they had at least one, if not dozens, of firearms.

How It Works

Handling Sales of Firearms from Estates

Dealing with these estate guns can create a lot of headaches and stress, not to mention risks, for estate executors and administrators. That’s why it’s critical that you work with someone who is licensed, insured and experienced in properly selling and distributing firearms from estates. Burns Auction holds a Federal Firearms License, which means we are trained and authorized in legally selling guns from estates to buyers throughout the U.S.

How We’ve Helped Clients

There was no known combination for this large safe after the owner passed away. Our locksmith was able to open it in under 10 minutes. We then catalogued its contents, carefully packed everything – including the contents of six more safes – and transported all firearms and accessories to our secure facility for sale. Our consignor was extremely relieved to have these out of the home, which was unoccupied.
